New UTMC Art

The place to come if you've been with us for years or it's your first time here. General yakking about anything motorcycle related. Think of it as the internet coffeehouse for the UTMC.

I was trying to come up with a slogan for this, but Denise suggested that it was pretty cool without one.
What do you think?

That's a good starting point. If I knew how to work a photochop, I'd fix it...... I.e. no wording at the bottom and replace skull with sparkplug at right. Maybe lose the Latin lightpoles too...

EDIT: In fact, I rather like that idea. Mystical stuff above the sparkie with utmc underneath, same colors. On a 3" round patch....

I'll take two...

I deliberately made it busy and crowded like real Freemason imagery. I also created the whole thing around the phrase "It's not a club. It's a cult".

That said, here is mostly what you asked for. There's tons pf places online you can get stuff printed up. I couldnt remove the pillars quickly as they are part of the base image that has the stuff above.

Yeah Seize the Beer is definitely staying on my version. I'm thinking I might do a negative version on a white background to make it look more like an actual Freemason pictograph. I might change the bottom from "It's Not A Club. It's a Cult" to the latin translation "Id Non Sodalicium - Id Cultus"

Oh I wouldnt do anything you dont care for. I'm just throwing this crap up. In this day and age I assume everyone knows theres 100 places you can upload a file and have a T-Shirt made for 20$ if you want it. If someone likes it, make up some shirts. If you wanna sell em, go for it. You arent gonna get rich from it and I wouldnt retire early from my cut if I demanded one, so I don't really care =8)

Keep playing! This one doesn't have me running to buy yet, but I am really happy because I don't recall anyone before you playing with Masonic imagery. Once you mentioned it, it seems so obvious.

If you allow me an individual and subjective opinion, the lines would benefit from being more even in width and aspect, thicken the thinner ones, and distort the clean ones. For what it's worth.

I don't need to upload anything to anyone, this is what I do for a living, print shirts and other stuff. When things get slow in winter I wrench on bikes and make one off tees for friends or just because something caught my eye.

I had no idea. I'm in no way an artist (at least on the computer with a mouse). I just have mediocre photoshop skillz a brown belt in Google-Foo and too much dedication to spending time of weird whims like this instead of stuff that I should be doing.

If anyone knows more about latin than the online translator i used help me out. I'm going for "beware (of) death" not "death by caviar." I was wanting something more like "death pursues us" but nothing really had a ring to it & I already had the banner drawn so i needed something short. I'm totally open to suggestions & will probably do the whole thing over anyhow. Image

"mors sequitor" would be "death pursues" or "death follows".

Any color suggestions? I've got a spot on my jacket in mind already, although this one deserves a place on my hide...

I strongly object to the x-with-things-inside-the-corners. It's a meaningless 'hardcore' motif and an even more obnoxious hipster-startup motif and I hate it. The UTMC is not 'straightedge', not 'skin', and does not sell $300 wood-handled axes shipped in birch shavings. I apologize for my crankiness on the subject but I deeply dislike that graphic trope.
