I got surprised with a wedding invitation for that same weekend in MD so looks like I'll be riding from NY down to the Baltimore area for a nuptial Saturday and then to PA for Sunday/Monday. Shame to shorten my first DOOM but alas - love is blind.

Boz, just a heads up that most of us clear out pretty early on Sunday. I'm not sure if anyone is staying until Monday this year...

The Cross Keys is a pretty dismal place Sundays when the bar is closed.

I think we were all on the road by about 10am when I went. Definitely try to make it Saturday if you can.

Probably a better idea to roll down Friday then and stay at Cross Keys fri night, and off to MD on Sat after whatever shenanigans I can sneak in, it sounds?

If those are your options (Friday evening or Sunday afternoon) then absolutely yes.

That Saturday -- from 0001ET to 2359ET -- is really the "core" of DOOM. Make some of that, preferably with a mix of dark and daylight hours.

Last year things wrapped up earlier than in years past Saturday night, largely just 'cause we're all getting old and we can't party like we could in days of yore.

That, and we've learned that riding while ill-slept and/or hungover suuuuucks.
