What the shit?

Unless there are dead pigs being eaten, I have no interest in "bacon." And seriously, that joke got old years ago. It amazes me that people keep rolling with it.

They had this story on the local news a couple nights back. I'm going to have to head down to the market and get a bit to try out.

I've changed my mind about this. I've grown as a person.
If you set up a fictional universe then you can argue that certain things are, or are not, logical and consistent within that universe. Of course the fact you might be able to show something is indeed logical and consistent in a fictional world says nothing about reality.

For the last 5 years or so, I have conducted a ritual, a sort of Skkotist Mass, employing bourbon and bacon eucharistically. Also, the thing to do with the bacon grease in the pan is to fry matzoh. It keeps well and is sacrelicious!

If you can't wait for a pork belly to cure, there are other things to do with it besides make bacon. First, if possible you should procure your pork from somewhere that has an anthropomorphic pig. Pigs walk into here, and come out in pieces. It smells good in there, too. (25 miles or so from DOOM, by the way)

]And you can get sausage, they'll cut you chops however thick you want, they cure up yummy bacon which some reading this will have had, and their scrapple is good too (a different shop of beef farmers further south from there makes even tastier scrapple). For my purpose over the weekend, I procured this 11-lb. pork belly:[attachment=0]pork belly.jpg[/attachment

Along the way, I made this.
