If you have any problem logging in, please don't bother waiting and get in touch. Email right to the usual address (admin at...), use the contact form (bottom of index and most other pages), post in the Midget Circus, or message me directly on Facebook.

Sometimes, these people will end up tearing their hair out because a lot of websites just don't work at all, like many online stores, as many e-commerce platforms don't do bugger all without using cookies.
Me, I've got "Self-Destructing Cookies" plugins in my various browsers. Which lets me accept all cookies everywhere, smug in the knowledge that they will be deleted the instant I close that browser tab. I can even set it to delete the cookies only when I close the whole browser window, which is helpful with online stores.
And I can whitelist sites like the board, so the plugin doesn't mess with those cookies at all.
And you must use the same browser, on the same machine. Unless you're using something like a cookie manager that syncs to all your devices and things, your apple browser on your ipad won't have the delicious cookies chrome has on your PC. And unless google now manages cookies between your devices (who knows what the fuck they do), even chrome on your Android won't have the same cookies as chrome on your notebook, or chrome on your other Android.

If you've visited the forum at any time after November 18, 2020, you will have seen the message about a supposed data breach that may have exposed passwords. I know you will have seen it because, until today, there was a big general announcement right at the top of the everything.
Seeing how it's been nearly 18 months since that, with no further alarms getting rung, and how everyone has had 758,214 opportunities to take a minute to think about the security of their passwords, I've taken that notice down.

I've banned him/her and left them a message to get in touch if they're not a spammer.
We've had a WAVE of registrations, two or three a day minimum, from Vietnam. Mostly from Hanoi, a few from Ho-Chi-Minh City. I let none of those in.
This one registered with an IP out of Japan, which is why I let them in. Sorry.

I've been getting between 3 and 5 a day on my forum, and those are the ones sneaking around the IP bans.
FWIW, I typically check the IP of new registrants in stopforumspam.com, and so far any IPs listed there are usually accompanied by usernames that are also on their list of recent spammers.

I haven't actually joined the stopforumspam.com forums yet, but typically a google search of "spam ip xxx.xx.xxx.x" (I search every new registrant that way now) that turns up a hit there will yield a list of usernames and email addresses reportedly associated with spammers from that IP. Recently it's been about 4/5 new registrations that get a hit there.

Sorry, I thought I had banned him. Didn't quite do that right, somehow.
So I've now banned him, banned his username, banned his email address, banned his IP, deleted all of his attachments, all of his other posts, anything he may have had in his pm outbox and deactivated his account.
That's about all the bannhammers that there are.

Shithead wanted to raise his google page rank, or whatever other search engines use, by increasing the number of links in a site indexed by the googles and whatnot.
If the googlebot came through and cached the shit he posted, there is fuckall I can do about it, unfortunately.
But I've deleted all his posts, as I said, and removed his links from the OP in this thread. Fuck the spammer.
