VT Dirty Weekend July 27-29 *Pics and video added*

Post by Groove » Thu Apr 12, 2012 8:52 am

July 27-29 is the date campsite reserved at Silver Lake in Barnard VT. Sites 1 & 3.

I'm thinking about using the Silver Lake campsite right from the beginning this year, we can all meet there and go ride wherever, whenever. There are some terrific, twisty, paved roads too, so folks bringing street bikes can have fun as well. As always there will be tons of food provided by Mrs. Groove (Zim she's mine, you can't have her.)

Details from past dirty weekends can be found here: http://www.utmc-forum.org/pub/viewtopic ... ight=dirty

Camping Fri and Sat at Silver Lake? That sounds good. I'm down whenever.

Yeah, I figured I'd change things up and make it easier for people to explore without having a defined route or schedule.

This is too far off for me to say I'm in. I would very much like to participate this year though.

File me under down-with-whatever. Feel free to pick whichever date best allows you to provide me with fine foods. Do pick a date soon so I can begin defending it in my calendar.

BZ and I are talking seriously about this.

My middle school best friend's family had a place on Silver Lake. Is the "town" of Barnard still just the crossroads and the general store/gas station?

Reservations have been made for two adjoining sites 1 & 3 at Silver Lake State Park, Barnard VT.

Ride in Friday night or Saturday morning, no planned ride, just awesome roads and Ootmiks...and beer. I have a few confirmations already. Please let me know if you can make it out.

I'm taking Friday off so I can help Cindy set-up. EIF, DarkMistress, Ben and Timmay! should all be at camp by the time you arrive.

So now Zim has a Super Sherpa, Nate has a newly acquired GS800, and there's rumor that some Rock character may be in attendance.

from the campground site
Note: The Barnard General Store went out of business on May 8th. Campers may wish to pick up supplies in Bethel or Woodstock on the way to the park. The park concession stand will be expanding its food offerings as the season gets underway.
