Cool, thanks problemaddict, that works.

If any of you are planning on staying Fri, Sat or both, let me know so I can prepare.

So here's my plan;
Fly to Chi and crash with MK3, from whom I will arrange a two-wheeled conveyance.
MK3 and I will ride to Indy on Friday? If so, I am willing to either couch-surf or get a hotel Friday night.
Saturday we bowl!
Saturday night, same or equivalent housing arrangements as Friday.
Return to Chi Sunday.
Fly home from there.

Input from Red and MK3 needed.

Friday and Saturday is fine BSH. I definitely think it's better to get here on Friday as it seems to be a struggle to get from Chi-town to Indy by launch time, at least for rench.

As I mentioned, bring a sleeping bag or whatever snuggle materials you need, we rarely have guests so sleeping supplies are limited.

The count so far is:

Fri: BSH, Mk3

Sat: BSH, Mk3, ProblemAddict

I'll reach out to Skkot to see what his plans are.

Cool, thanks. Should have mentioned that I planned on arriving in Chi on Thursday, so MK3 either I crash at your place, or with Rench if he's in town that night or I can hotel it.

As discussed earlier through other media, I'm happy to sleepover at Red's Friday night. I plan to reserve a large enough hotel room for Saturday night to be able to offer crash space there and depart Indy on Sunday morning.

My outbound plan is to leave DPRM Thursday (afternoon?) and slab it to Ohio. Leisurely ride Friday to the meet-up in Indy at the bar&grill, in case anyone (ProblemAdddict?) is going that route.

Sounds good.

Friday: Mk3, BSH, Skkot
Sat: unknown but open if need be

I may or may not attend the after ride festivities, it all depends on the day.

I'll probably grab a hotel in Indy. I'm still working out time off for the ride, definitely ride out Friday, but what time of day is variable. Definitely have space, and a bike for BSH. Hadn't thought much about getting back, maybe I'll wait until Sunday morning... Seems to make sense. I've honestly had this on a back burner for a while, but I'll plan more soon.

I'd love to meet up, but I won't be leaving PA until real late Friday night sometime... Getting to Indy around noon and trying to rendezvous with the Ride somewhere along the route...

Which priceline-delineated region of Indy do you live in? I'm grabbing a room and am endeavoring to be closer vs further to the redpocalypse launch-pad.

I live near Castleton, which if your are looking at I465 (the loop around Indy), is at about the 1 o'clock mark. I'll FB you my address and number. There is a Red Roof Inn near by, a Drury Inn and a whole slew of other places once you venture towards Castleton.

Better pack your rain gear!

The breakfast meet up starts at 9am, then kickstands up at 11a.

Who wants to attend early enough for food?

Thinking about leaving at midnight and making it in for k.s.u., but we'll see what kind of shift I work on Friday...

I got the route that was posted on FB, so I can figure out where to meet if I miss the start. Also have Red's digits for direct communication.

I'll keep y'all posted...

Outfuckingstanding good time people. The ride back to Chicago? Not such a good time, but Rench and I are safely ensconced in our respective domicile (of course I am mooching a couch from MK3 till I fly home) and slowly warming back up to room temp.
Thanks, genuinely, to MK3 and the missus, Rench, Red and the fam for hooking me up with a bike, putting me up and showing me a good time, and of course Scotty and all the loonies that put this fucking thing together just for fun.

This was lots of fun, and worth the trip, even though the sidecarmachine has developed an electrical problem east of Zanesville and west of Wheeling. Fortuitously, the conk-out started to happen just as a rest area was coming up, and the weather is fine. Battery is charging inside the rest area. Had to excise the charger hookup to bring it indoors. The battery appears to be absorbing electrons, but they're very difficult to see. Once charged, I'll splice wires back together and reassemble and see if it goes vroom.

A damn good time was had!
However, the event was not without drama. Rench and I had our own side adventure when
he learned a valuable lesson about loose garments and spinning axles.

Hope to see you guys back next year, with reinforcements!

I assume Skkot has either made it home safely or has taken over the rest stop and formed a band of marauders to scavenge the travelers for parts and valuables.

The Uly shook itself apart, costing me the ability to shift in Chicago traffic (5th gear only). Some brutal clutch work got me another few miles before ultimately cooking the clutch plates. I pushed that Sisyphean paper weight up the off-ramp after sitting it across three Lanes of whizzing traffic. Went home, got trailer, picked up bike. I'll leave it in time out for two weeks to think about what it's done before I throw in new plates and red-lock tite the new screw.

I will make a trip beginning to end on this fucking machine if it kills me.

Otherwise good trip. I'll take the next 12 months and do some costuming.

It was apparently the alternator. 5 hours charging the battery got me 12 miles down the road. Had to get a tow to St. Clarksville, OH. New battery didn't matter, drove rental car back to DPRM and returned with trailer. Incidentally, there is for sale at the Polaris shop in St. Clairsville a 2007 Buell 1125 R, with only 1500 miles, asking 7.5G if anyone is interested. Guy who owns the place was really helpful.

I gather it wasn't a dull ride home?

St. Clarksville is a long fuckin' way from DPRM. That sucks. Eew.

Then again, I remember leaving you waiting for Mountain on the way home from Rag2010. I suppose that was a lot farther. :P

Do you always have such shit luck with these things?

Yup! April 28th, there should be a FB event for it.

Not sure what my level of participation will be this year, definitely won't be by bike.

I know the feeling, everything MC related in my world is buried in my garage with all of our furniture and home goods until we can wrap up more of this house remodel. I don't think I've ridden for fun since MadMax last year, everything else has been commuting, and even that has been limited.

While all of you are going as the hoons and scags, I'm bringing the bronze.
