Your booze recipes... post 'em up.
The Beetnik (recipe stolen from The Red in Santa Cruz):
Take one bottle of decent tequila, and put it in a jar with a couple of chopped, fresh beets for 3 days.
Make a simple syrup with a 1:1 water:sugar ratio, only when you're simmering it, put in a bunch of rosemary.
Let it cool and strain the rosemary chunks out (or vice versa).
(If you made enough to bottle it, put in a tablespoon of vodka after it cools. It will keep it from spoiling in your fridge.)
Mix 3/4 Oz fresh squeezed lime juice, 3/4 Oz rosemary simple syrup, 3 Oz beet tequila, and shake with ice.
Rim the glass with lime juice, salt, and fresh ground pepper.
Pour and serve, martini style (no ice).
I could also see this being a good frozen drink.
Now I know what you're thinking, and it goes something like "BEETS? IN TEQUILA? ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS?" But seriously, this drink is truly worth all of that effort.
I just made a half a bottle's worth of beet Jimador, and the very first words that came out of my roommate's mouth was "we're gonna need to make more of that shit, coz this is our new summer cocktail."
Needless to say, the other half of the Jimador is now in a jar with some beets.

Tequila and beets?
That's a recipe for a hurl festival for me.

It does seriously sound like it, but I kid you not, this drink is absolutely delicious (and I'm NOT a tequila fan; I drink bourbon).

Neither one of those things could pass my lips without an involuntary turning of my stomach.
Are you saying the beets cancel out the smell/taste of the tequila? Does the tequila also cancel out the taste of the beets?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually, pretty much. Yeah.
EDIT: That is to say, when mixed in this cocktail the flavors all balance/cancel to something really delicious that hardly even tastes like booze.
On its own, the beet infused tequila pretty much just tastes like beets and tequila (which is still surprisingly tasty, if you are OK with tequila, but not something that I'd ever be in a hurry to consume).

Grain alcohol, lemon aide in a galvanized tub. Throw in a dirty sock to top it off.

Ah, so it's one of
those deals....
Like going into the local tiki bar here where they'll mix you up a tall glass of something fruity that doesn't taste alcoholic at all, but will knock you on your ass.

When I tended bar we had a contest to make a new drink.
Mine was called a Pineapple Dream.
Kind of a chic drink, but it was pretty good.
1 oz. Malibu Rum
1 oz. Buttershots
Pour over ice and top with Pineapple Juice.

Pretty much like that, only instead of fruity, it's sweet, spicy and earthy. More full bodied, and doesn't taste like you just put 37 pounds of sugar into a glass to cover up the 18 different kinds of alcohol.
I would actually say it's more like going into a place that really takes a serious interest in gourmet booze, and getting something that doesn't taste alcoholic, but will knock you on your ass.
The bar I stole the recipe from is a place where (and I kid you not) there are weekly (or monthly, I forget) sessions where it's mandatory for all of the bar staff to show up during off hours, and have "beer academy" so everyone knows EXACTLY what they are pouring, which is often stuff they had to send employees (namely my ex GF in her pickup truck) several hundred miles to pick up from the brewery.
They take that kind of serious interest in the booze that they serve. Unfortunately for them, it's kind of a "pearls before swine" type of thing, because every weekend night they just get absolutely overrun with douchey college brats who couldn't give a fuck less.

Favorite chick drink?
Grasshopper Cookie:
1 part peppermint schnapps (Cut by 25-50% if using European schnapps vs American schnapps)
1 part chocolate liquor
2 parts milk
Pour over ice.
The alcohol content isn't all that high. It's in no way a hard-core Manly Man's drink. But it's a fun little dessert that when served as a glass-sized mixed drink, will get you slightly to moderately drunk.

A favorite from Wally's Bar, the "Lunch Box". You need a beer mug and a shot glass.
Fill mug half way with 2/3 beer, 1/3 OJ. Drop in shot of Amaretto. Guzzle without chipping your teeth on mug or shot glass. Repeat until she's pretty.

I'm a big fan of spiced rum.. A tasty alternative to your typical captain & coke is to mix captain with Slice or some other orange sode... It tastes like an orange creamsicle.
and then you get vomit that is almost as tasty as when it went down.

Most of the time for me it's "Bourbon. Drink."
I dooo like creating things that are unique and tasty, though. Hence the recipe thread, hence this thread.
This one is next on my list:

I was once offered a sip of this at a party, but they were calling it a "Dirty Girlscout."
Sometimes I get really crazy and put an ice cube in my whiskey.
If I had to pick a favorite cocktail, I would have to say it is something very exotic that many of you have probably never had before. It is called a "Margarita". Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice on the rocks in a salted glass. I am not talking about some fucked up slurpee filled with sour mix and corn syrup.

A-FUCKING-MEN!
I may like to try out weird cocktails, but they've gotta be COCKTAILS, not candy drinks.
Fake ass margaritas (and most of the other hulu-tikki punch bowl drinks I've EVER seen) are just fucking gross.

They have that at the KK here. I tried it a couple years ago. It initially sounded disgusting to me but it's actually pretty good.

I have developed a fondness for VSOP brandy on the rocks. I have also found that my moonshine makes a great caesar. And my beet wine makes the BEST Sangria. MMmmm...

A very simple cocktail I've been mixing recently is:
1 1/2oz Brandy (I've been using Courvoisier VSOP for this)
1/2oz Benedictine
Hard shake and strain into a cocktail glass.
That's it.
The taste is like a mellow version of brandy with spice and honey tones. I think it's alright and seems to go down well with customers who try it.
The glasses we use at the hotel are pretty small, so you'd want to up the measures for what you might find in a bar in Europe or the U.S.

That beet drink sounds interesting. But what gets me is.... under what circumstances did someone come up with that idea in the first place? Only beets in the house, only booze in the house was tequila? The other strange booze thing I've ever seen was a cable show "how's it made" and they showed how tequila is made and the plant it comes from. The agave plant looks like some alien. Tequila should cost three times as much when one considers all the handling of the agave plant. Gin and tonic mmm good. But the gin really makes all the difference. So many styles of gin. The name just slipped my mind but this one gin I tried had rose petals in processing of it. Kinda like drinking grandma's night face cream.
