I dimly remember watching that when it was new. I liked the historical bits, the boat building bits left much to be desired I think. At least that's how I remember it, which is barely.

Half the time, when I watch him speak, it seems like HE is having to really struggle to understand what he's saying.
Not calling the guy a dummy or anything, it's just that his facial expressions and wandering thoughts are pretty classic to watch!
