Blackletter still 404?

I noticed that www.blackletter.org front page still has the missing preamble from the server clusterfuckery that happened earlier this year (or was it last year?)

I really liked that thing. Its a beautifully written statement that conveys my very reasons for being here in the first place.

Are we taking new members? If so, that first page is kinda important. Any chance of getting this thing back up?

Ir hasn't been down for months, it was up the other day. I believe the forums and the blackletter.org page are still on different hosts.

I'm with Vitaire here... I haven't seen blackletter.org for months. In fact, if I click it right now, I get:

Not Found

The requested URL /frontpage.PHP was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Yeah, I noticed this a week or two ago, I get a 404 on the main page, but the navigation side bar in the right hand frame (frames, really? What is this 1997?

) displays properly.

Been the same for me (404 main, 200 OK right), every time I open the site, for at least 2 months.

I never see the front page. I have the direct link to the forum on my favorites tab, that's it.

I find this thread particularly funny since until recently we used to do the First Thursday Motorcycle Meetup at Club 404 here in Denver at which there was generally at least one OOTMIK present!

That 404 is very much my shame, along with a couple other bad links on the front page. Many apologies, I keep trying to find time to get everything fixed but fatherhood has ended up taking up all of my time

I love being a dad more than anything, but hell if I don't miss being able to get shit done! I was actually in the process of creating a new bunch of stuff for the front pages and haven't been able to find the backups of the old ones. I'll try to get it fixed proper soon!

Sorry again guys and gals, I promise my absence is just temporary! Can't wait to get back into the page and on the board on a daily basis!
