Congrats!

We were in a similar situation. Docs told us no chance w/o spending the $$$ for IVR. Being generally broke, this crapped on our spirits. However, the universe had different plans. Our first is due in mid Jan.

A victory over capitalism! Down with proprietary fertility - open source kids for the win!
In all seriousness: Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! :D

jangleplatz! Quite the game changer!

It was interesting when one of the nurses noted that it was in our file "Patient understands that there is less than a 0.01% chance of conception".......... Hope everything goes smooth.

Shit for a second I thought GuitarGeek resurrected another ancient thread...

Awesome work on keeping the kid happy and healthy! Soon he'll be cutting the grass for you, then you're on Dad Easy Street.

I came for the necromancy and found child rearing. I'm confused.

(Grats on making it to the mostly fun part. Now, comes the test of patience, because soon they will not be too cute to eat when they do crazy stuff..)

There was a bit of a baby boom a few years ago. A few of us have been around long enough to watch each other get old and gray. :P

It's funny, several of the folks at DOOM this year commented "yeah, I just don't feel like staying up all night getting shithammered, we should get some sleep... goddamn, what are we saying? we're getting old!"

that's fun. my boys are 8 and 9, PoGo gives us a good reason to go out on family walks, though they've been into the card game for several years now after coming across my little brother's stash from 20 years ago while staying with my parents... my wife and I have been roped in a little bit, but it's good fun...
