For clarity: Britain these days, if you believe popular culture, is plastered with warnings and notices. Don't do this, warning, forbidden, fines, notice, etc.
No matter where you go or what you do, there's some sort of warning about what you shouldn't do, what is dangerous, what is forbidden, and so on, and so forth. I do recall an abundance of such notices when I was last in Scotland, over a decade ago. Keep of the grass ain't the half of it.
Well, someone decided to do this. It's not just quirky, whimsical and a bit, dammit, I can't think of that adjective, it's on the darn tip of my tongue.

Anyway, it's a very British solution to the problem of an over-regulated society, I think. It's like something from a Douglas Adams or Terry Prattchet novel.

Except for this one, I don't much like this one...no need to actively encourage people to do that, I say.

Indeed. So much effort is put into telling you all the nitpicky little things you mustn't do that folks loose track of what they can or should do.

Well done, Limeys.

that didnt stop my friend form looking the wrong way (left) and getting t-boned by a scooter. Lol.
Edit: I should add that he was a pedestrian, and the scoot rider was unhurt, thus it was funny (to me)

Well, I totally spaced on SunRats post above and typed up something wrong, when regarding what she described. So ignore this post. Or don't.
