As someone who never had a good experience in a German outgrowth of the Baden Powell scouting movement, before they kicked him out, allow me to ask a favor.
Don't look away when the awkward kid gets bullied. And don't resort to body-shaming when the fat kid can't keep up.

What kind of shaming do you propose I use? I was thinking pinky removal.

So what you're saying is, that german youth were cold and not understanding to the person that was different...

Jokes aside, I'm thinking we'll have an abundance of awkward kids. I'm still learning to ignore it when they think they're fucking ninjas (including my own). Given that this particular movement is only 20 years old, I'm going to guess you fell under one of the organizations within the Ring deutscher Pfadfinderverbände, of which we have no association. They are in WOSM (world organization of scouting movements--purple round thing) we fall under WFIS (world federation of independent scouts --brown zulu shield). Scouting under WOSM largely went the way of bullshit MC psuedo-culture and lost its way IMO. It only counts if you have the mo-co T-shirt to go with your mo-co vest and mo-co pin. WFIS is not dissimilar to UTMC conceptually : "this shit is stupid we just want to ride motorcycles" "this shit is stupid, we just want to tie knots and be outside". Buy your shirt from wherever, it should look sort of like this example for function, they are uniform because the function the same and have the same four patches. Younger kids=t-shirts. you're going to outgrow it anyway. And so on.

I was never aware of any world organization, but the purple round thing was present, yeah.
And there was the official shirt, also. I still have mine, somewhere. Tore off all the patches, it was comfortable and still fit/fit again many years later.

Sounds like it may not be an inherently shifty bunch you're with there.
So, best of British, old chap!
