Yes, the young lady I started dating last Spring. We find someone's true self at some point. Especially when they pound down a few brewskies. 99.9% of relationships that have ended in my past ended very amicably. This one seems to be ending with someone who is very vindictive. On a scale that I'm unaccustomed to seeing. There are multiple issues that would prevent us from having a healthy, long-term relationship. Unfortunately, they can't be overlooked. Have to cut ties and move on.

That's a bummer, man.

Dispassionately and business like. That is how to do this. To everything she says or does that is despicable, give a wry smirk and focus on how you are being business like (to me I'm also focusing on how I'm winning at these moments).

It took me 4 months to stop throwing up every time I dropped my boy off, but I'll be damned if I ever let her see me sweat. With every moment of unpleasantness she is but validating the correctness of the division....then RUN AWAY!!!

I was the kid in the dropping off scenario and for every moment of my existence that I can remember it was how bad my dad was from my mom. The entire time the worst that dad ever said about mom was "Your mom has her own ideas about things". Thirty-four years of "Your father" this and "that man" that. It wasn't until my own kids came along that I started calling her out on it because I wasn't going to have her talking to her grand-kids about their highly-involved (almost 100 mile round trip every weekend to see them since the weekend they were born) grand-dad. It was an awkward weekend at our house. I have to get after her about it still today and dad has been gone for two years.

So yes, all business, high-road all the way.

I'm planning to go up there tomorrow to drop her things off, but I'm concerned about how she's going to conduct herself. I think she has the potential to get violent. Batshit crazy is unpredictable.

You can probably have a cop meet you there as a courtesy or at least have a well-trusted male and female friend there as witnesses and to film and insanity for evidence...
