Goodbye car licence...

Well im being forced back onto 2 wheels by virtue of the fact that in thye last 3 weeks ive unluckily enough accumulated enough fines for them to yank my car licence off me for 3 months as soon as i cough up the cash for my fines.

Not that im complaining too much about the 2 wheels thing, its a great excuse to throw a leg over again. the lost dosh and the inconvinence will shit me a bit but the fact that ill be back on a bike is almost like a homecoming.

What im pissed about is that my girlfriends mother has forbade my girl (lauren) to ride as a pillion, because her mom dosent like motorbikes. to top it off i dont think my girl is going to try very hard to fight her even though she claims to be fery interested in learning to ride. This isnt the first time she has refused to stand up to her parents, its almost that she is afraid to stand up to them because the love might disappear.

My mom and I fight like feral cats and rabid dogs at times but im never afraid to tell her something she dosent want to hear or stand up to her cause i know when it all calms down, its all good.

So if i want to take my girl out its back to public transport... and i live out in the sticks.

FUCK!

Same in Germany. We only have one licence and gone is gone. Stupid thing happened to me once: I had to turn my licence in for one month but drove anyways. Got "flashed" when I did a wrong turn, paid my fine and the stupid cops never noticed that I theoretically had no licence at that time 8)

here they are linked too, but i havent had my car licence long enough for it to be a full drivers licence, its still a provisional class 1.

all fines in australia carry a monetary fine and a demit point value, you pay the monetary and the demerits go on your licence. with my full riders licence i can accumulate 12 points before its suspended, with my provisional class 1 in the car i can only accumulate 4.

back in june when i crashed my car i got a fine for neg driving that was 3 points, on december 20 i got a 2 point speeding fine (but hadnt payed it yet cause in early feb i was due to go up a licence class and thus get 3 more points. but yesterday i cut a corner and according to the police this is driving on the wrong side of the road wich constitutes negligent driving... 3 more points and im fucked.

leaves me with 4 on my licence before they take the bike one too. so no stoppies infront of coppies.

DOES A BIG FUCKING HAPPY DANCE!!!!!

Went to the RTA today (australian version of the DMV) and to confirm that i wouldnt loose my bike licence too... apparently due to some rather bizare piece of red tape style legislation they cant just suspend one class of your licence, its all or nothing! so as long as i dont loose those last 4 points I CAN KEEP MY CAR!!!!! AND KEEP DRIVING IT !!!!

I am however going to sell it. Its just too much car for a 20yo. Its a 3 litre automatic family sedan but JESUS does it shove. im looking at an older smaller engined 4x4. something that wont encourage the last 4 points to go flying out the window.

Im so releived, but im also a little sad. because now i again cant seem to justify getting my 2 wheels back on the road when i have a perfectly good car and am supposed to be saving.
