Enjoy your military service - this is me being smug about being a recognized conscientious objector and even having finished my bloody service years ago.

I didn't even need to become a "recognized conscientious objector", I had a x-ray showing that there's something wrong with my "plumbing". Stupid army doc feared that I will run the hospital costs up too high so they refused to draft me. By doing so they denied me of the chance to miss 18 months of my young life and spend it as an underpaid asshole in olive clothes. Boy was I sorry
Today I can proudly say that I never ever in my whole life enjoyed the questionable fun of touching a real fire-arm.

Well, I had the misfortune of being called in for the examination in early january....and in the area where I lived then, about 40% of all draftees got by the service on medical/drug related/political grounds which means that in the months before October, they go as far as drafting third brothers and, of course me. My medical history, including all sorts of x-rays of my buggered knee, allergy certificates and a letter from my doctor saying I'm totally unfit didn't help. They just left a lot of unchecked boxes on the draft report.
