Right, so I have a question.
The motto on both blackletter.org and the board is "Fighting the Gangster Frankenstien Earphone Radio Slavery Big Brother Conspiracy at all costs"
So, I was just wondering...who the fuck is FrankenstIEn?

I was going with the American spelling of the name (i.e. the wrong one).

Shouldn't the American spelling have been "Frankenstine"?
Whatever. What cracks me up is that I read that line up there hundreds of times and never spotted it...on the other hand, for years I believed that Arthur's best friend called himself Ford Perfect...

It's that whole I before E except after C or when in Germany (who bloody invented putting I's and E's together, along with long strings of consonants....or was the the Fins?). Really tho there are a bunch of words in American that follow the German laws with I's and E's, like "their" and "foreign" but somehow "fried" and "fiend" are all Americanized. And then there is the Irish thing that totally fucks me up "Old MacDonald had a farm ei ei o". Bugger, us bikers aren't illiterate, it's THE MAN trying to fuck us around again!!!!
Oh, and Blackletter fonts were the earliest fonts used with the invention of the printing press. They resemble the blackletter callygraphy of that time. They are often called gothic script, and were and still are widely used for printing religious texts. When we created the UTMC we felt that "Blackletter of the new breed" was a good metaphor to the idea that we are creating our own faith/philosophy.
If I remember correctly,
www.blackletter.com is owned by a graphic designer/illustrator who rides a BMW motorcycle. Some nice work there too.
