I should get the message within a few hours, but under rare circumstances, it might take me a day.
If you can login no problem, but you wish to avoid problem, try checking the "Remember Me" box where you login. I've meddled with the settings there, so even if you return here only once every couple of weeks, it should remember you fine. Provided you have cookies enabled.

Important infos about cookies
Show
To be remembered, you must have cookies enabled in your browser. Some people prefer using "private" browsing mode - which precludes cookies being placed on your device in the first place.
Some people use regular browsing mode, but may have chosen to disable all cookies in their settings. Sometimes, these people will end up tearing their hair out because a lot of websites just don't work at all, like many online stores, as many e-commerce platforms don't do bugger all without using cookies.
Me, I've got "Self-Destructing Cookies" plugins in my various browsers. Which lets me accept all cookies everywhere, smug in the knowledge that they will be deleted the instant I close that browser tab. I can even set it to delete the cookies only when I close the whole browser window, which is helpful with online stores.
And I can whitelist sites like the board, so the plugin doesn't mess with those cookies at all.
And you must use the same browser, on the same machine. Unless you're using something like a cookie manager that syncs to all your devices and things, your apple browser on your ipad won't have the delicious cookies chrome has on your PC. And unless google now manages cookies between your devices (who knows what the fuck they do), even chrome on your Android won't have the same cookies as chrome on your notebook, or chrome on your other Android.

If you've visited the forum at any time after November 18, 2020, you will have seen the message about a supposed data breach that may have exposed passwords. I know you will have seen it because, until today, there was a big general announcement right at the top of the everything.
Seeing how it's been nearly 18 months since that, with no further alarms getting rung, and how everyone has had 758,214 opportunities to take a minute to think about the security of their passwords, I've taken that notice down.
Follow this link for all the info that has transpired about the whole mess.

Put me down for what ever month is next. August 2008?
"All men dream: but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was a vanity:
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men,
For they may act their dreams out with open eyes, to make it possible.
...This I did." -Lawrence of Arabia

I sent Dave the address list so I think Feb should be out at some point. ImEazy isn't listed as a member, so I'm not sure the status on March.
Anyone from the back end of the list want to jump in and get us a CD? It's been a while since anything shipped. I'll send you an updated address list, just PM me.
February - Dave
March - ImEazy
April - Aggroton
May - BackDoorBarbie
June - Merlyn
July - Timmay
August - Dobbs

Here's the song list:
1. Bad Religion - Kerosine
2. Pendulum - Girl In The Fire
3. Blood For Blood - Dead End Street
4. Scissorfight - Appalachian Chain
5. Son Volt - Jet Pilot
6. Beirut - Postcards From Italy
7. Integrity - Micha: Those Who Fear Tomorrow
8. Nightwish - Ghost Love Score
9. Explosions In The Sky - Yasmin The Light
10. Abhinanda - The Rumble
11. Rye Coalition - The Lipstick Game
12. Say Zuzu - Maylee
13. Excelsior - Rafting The River of Man
14. Ghetto Boyz - Mind Playin' Tricks
15. Drive Like Jehu - Glood Luck In Jail
16. The Darkness - Get Your Hands Off My Woman
17. Rye Coalition - The Lipstick Game (DOH! dumbass!)
Did I really fuck up and burn the same song twice? I'm an idiot. I did this all in such a hurry that I screwed it up without realizing. Sorry about that.
I tried to include music from a wide range, because I have a wide range of interests haha. I have played guitar for over 10 years, a lot of which was spent playing metal, played jazz trombone all through school and was a snare drummer in the high school marching band. I used to spend a lot of time making electronic music with my friend (he still does, he's doing some great stuff these days) and I guess being a product of the MTV generation I used to get home from school and watch Notorious B.I.G. music videos. Basically, I'll listen to anything hahaha.
What are some people's favorites out of the songs they possibly had not heard before?

Some days you can look to your left as you ride and see your Valkyrie- pacing you and waiting for her moment...
Days like that, the only appropriate reaction is to call out "Let's dance, beautiful!" and then twist the throttle to it's stop.
Remember, folks- Your vote means fuck-all. If voting could actually change anything it would have been outlawed long ago.
The only votes that mean anything in this day and age are made from rooftops.

Sorry all for March being a couple months late. My computer died as
well as my parents a month later. My folks ended up buying a new
machine and I used it to finally burn the cd's and get them out to
you all. I still don't have a working burner here.
Hope you enjoyed the cd. I also hope they made it to the correct
addresses. I used the last list I could find. Take care...

I'm in! I can contribute tunes but I don't have the time or resources to handle the CD creation.motorpsycho67 wrote:Okay.
Who's in?
Too bad it's neigh impossible to find actual cassette tapes.
**edit**
Nevermind, they are still out there but obviously not as cheap as CDRs. Plus, who has a dual deck cassette player any more?

Re: UTMC mix-tape (CD) swap?
what if we did a monthly youtube playlist of music? I can't speak for anyone else, but I spend a lot of time at the computer and leaving a playlist running in the background is much easier than finding a cd player.
There, I said it.

Not a bad idea but it doesn't have that physical satisfaction of getting something designed and made be a fellow Ootmik. As I mentioned previously, I don't have the time or resources to produce physical copies, so I guess my opinion doesn't have much weight.
