Because the board got shutdown again because of a load of database, I had to fettle with the settings again.
As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!
But now, that information lives in a delicious cookie, rather than the forum database.

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

girls at comic conventions should wear a badge with their age on it, or a different color scheme when legal/illegal. can you imagine what it's like to work in such an environment for several days, far from home ?

Seriously, are these cosplayer girls even characters or is it just an excuse to wear slutty clothes and drooled over by all the helpless geeks?

While cute as hell, the pic of the girl Ames posted just makes me think its a stripper on her day off, not some homage to an obscure Japanese anime character.

This.

Funny, back when I was doing the con thing a bunch of the girls in our crowd actually were strippers. Yeah, it was jangleplatz. Hottest of all though was a red headed sheriffs deputy with a thing for knee high boots and a riding crop.

Ah, see, now you're talking my language. Who would have ever thought that a cop would be into beating people up?

Let's just say that Im well educated in this particular fetish.

And a red-head? Good lord. Kryptonite. Pure kryptonite.
