I got a chuckle out of this one recently:

Hm. Close. But.
Spoiler
Show
The Tyrannosaurus Rex is suspected by quite a few experts, or so I hear, to have been a carrion-eater, rather than a predator.
What's more, they are apparently certain that, like many other dinosaurs, it actually had feathers.
But that's just the mad rantings of someone who grew up with the Maus, rather than Barney.
No, not the Art Spiegel one (though I think I first read that when I was about 13).
Rather, this one:

and the elephant, or course.
I don't think anyone ever did any age-inappropriate spoofs of that, though, which makes me feel kinda cheated.

But then we got our German Saturday Night Live knock-off (which was pretty decent, mostly), and they brought us Bernie & Ert!

If there were absolutely anything to be afraid of, don't you think I would have worn pants?

I was going to post this in a new thread but realized it was more appropriate to resurrect an ancient one.

BEHOLD. THE DAY THE BARNEY DIED.

Wow, that's... wow.
Led by his captors like some animal for the amusement of the masses. He smiles and waves, as is expected, as is all he has ever known. But he tries to escape, desperately pulling on his chains. And is disemboweled on a lamppost!
And he keeps waving, and smiling. His guts spilled out below him, his abdomen gone. He waves. He slowly collapses. He smiles.
His captors drag him down, not even willing to wait for the poor fella to die. He is still waving, smiling, when his face hits the dirt and they swarm on him. Knifes out.
Before he is even still, before he has even finally found the sweet release of death. They swarm him, and cut him. Slash into him, to rip apart what parts of him were not torn out by the lamppost.
If there were absolutely anything to be afraid of, don't you think I would have worn pants?

I said I have a big stick.
