As part of that, the server no longer stores what topics you have or haven't read.
IT IS STILL RECORDED!

Upside: this should reduce the load of database.
Downside: if you use multiple devices to access the board, or you reject delicious cookies, you won't always have that information cookie. But the New Posts feature should take care of that.

Put in eight hours of OT today at work. Production is so far behind, they're trying something new. Twelve hour shifts next week. In total, I figure about 23.5 hours of OT this coming week.
Looks like I won't have time to do much of anything after work. Pretty much get home, bathe, eat real quick, and then maybe I'll have a few minutes before I have to hit the sack.

Well, we'll get paid overtime naturally. That's 1.5 times the normal pay rate, if you don't know. Anything over 40 hours a week is overtime, federally mandated.DerGolgo wrote:Shite.

However, with all those hours adding up to big paycheck, the check amount will likely knock us up to the next tax bracket for that check, so we'll actually get less! But, we'll get it back on our tax return at the end of the year as it'll average out.
But I want it NOW

Re: whatcha doing?
The last time I had done any bicycle riding was probably 2000. The bike was a 26" aluminum MTB. Rode all around a pop. 22k city, and ventured onto urban trails and singletrack.
Then I met a girl, got back into motorcycles, moved and shed 18,000 people, married the girl, knocked the girl up twice... and here we are. The kids are moving on to real bikes and want me to ride with them. I had given away my old MTB (stupid), and my wife's old jalopy weren't doin' it for me. So I furthered financial ruin and got myself a new MTB, with hydraulic discs and 27.5" wheels and a fork lockout and lower-tier components that still move the chain around just fine thank you.
The first ride was 5 days ago, 10.66 miles up and down (nothing is flat here), with my legs disagreeing with me for most of the ride. Today, however, the magic happened. My legs were trying to prove something. Instead of climbing in granny gear, I was one or two up, where I felt some power coming back after all these years. Ended up shaving 5 minutes off the previous run. I'm no Lucien Van Impe (had to look him up... no idea), but it felt good climbing.

Just finished a bowl of stew, now I'm sipping a beer and listening to Django Reinhardt and reading some Joe Haldeman, my dog at my feet.
Today is the second day without rain in some weeks, forecast looks clear for the next week! In a little while, after my food settles, I'll go pull the starter motor off of the lawn tractor and see if I can figure out what the problem is. I have *acres* to mow, and it's knee-high...

Setting up a stew in the crock pot (it's catching!!! like '28 days later', oh my god, that is actually the perfect label for GG's stews, "28 Days Later"). Then going to hand wash some laundry and rack-dry it on the deck. Some wine for the stew, and some for the cook. Also thinking about thermite. Need to set aside some brain cycles for later to deal with divorce unpleasantness, also work is in crisis mode, going to be a tough few weeks and then Bam, Rag.

I just run mine on low for 12-14 hours and call it good. Eat a bowl then the rest goes into the ole freezerino. Perfect lunch for the office because a frozen block of goodness won't leak out of its container.

Been riding my mountain bike quite a bit lately, but I just hopped on the Super Sherpa. Tooling around the yard, getting ready for a ride. Thought I would skid the rear tire on the dirt.
Bicycle rear brake = lever at right grip
Motorcycle rear brake ≠ lever at right grip
Sore calf from being pinned under the bike. And a broken clutch lever, which, incidentally, ≠ front brake.
